Tell us about your role and your main focus
I’m actively involved in helping to improve the quality of our business and services, but primarily I’m liaising with our clients and completing top quality pre-purchase surveys on a wide range of age/types of housing, not solely period property.

What key skills or experience specifically make you shine?
With over 40 years’ experience in this field, the skills to report the essential issues clearly, in context and in plain English. A key speciality is identifying building defects on a range of age and style, both for urban and country properties.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Variety of different, interesting, and often quality buildings inspected. My work offers me the chance to see a huge range of different buildings and no two days are the same.

What’s the biggest challenge in your work?
Staying focused to complete the reporting in a timely manner. We are a busy practice and I need to manage my time carefully.

What do you think makes Desbruslais a great company to be part of?
Having a support /surveying team of quality individuals, who together make the client experience as stress free as possible.

What does your perfect weekend look like?
Long dog walks with our labrador Ollie, good food, a few beers, Brighton football game and meeting up with family and friends.
