Heritage Reports
Heritage reports are prepared for a variety of purposes, most commonly to support applications for planning permission or listed building consent, but also for owners who simply wish to better understand the history and development of an important historic building.
Depending on the requirement, reports may take the form of a Heritage Statement assessing the architectural and historic significance of a building and the impact of proposed works, or a more detailed archaeological interpretative report analysing the building’s development, construction and evolution over time.
Prepared in accordance with relevant planning policy and Historic England conservation guidance, our reports provide a clear evidence-based assessment of the building’s development, significance and setting, supported by photographs, drawings and carefully researched commentary.
Whether commissioned to satisfy local authority requirements or to record and better understand an historic property, reports are tailored to suit the nature of the building and the intended purpose.
